Antique Japanese Red Lacquered Decorative Wooden Box With Brass Trim

For you to consider an antique Japanese red lacquered decorative wooden box with brass enhancements. Measuring approximately 8" in length, 5" wide, and standing 3" in height it is in overall good condition. The box does not have an operable lock or key and all of the brass embellishments show mild oxidation but will polish brightly with little effort. The red lacquer is smooth, beautifully reflective, and in good  repair with occasional minor loss that has been touched up or  concealed over time. The hinges operate as intended and open the box to reveal a black lacquered interior. The hallmark "Made in Japan" is seen on one corner of the interior lid. A beautiful decorative box that presents itself very well. Wear is commensurate with age and history of use, so please review the photos as they are a descriptive part of the listing.
