The wigs are on a stretchy knitted base which allows them to be turned inside out and then stretched over the doll's head easily, but they do need to be glued in place. I recommend tacky craft glue be applied to the doll's head as it is not too quick drying and allows the hair to be moved and adjusted before setting.
