Vintage “Miss America” Pattern Crystal Depression Glass – Salad/Sherbet Plates

Description

This is a lovely three-piece set of crystal Depression glass, clear or colored translucent glassware that was distributed free, or at low cost, around the time of the Great Depression.
It was manufactured by the Hocking Glass Company, a major American producer of Depression glass that
was founded in 1905 by Isaac Collins in Lancaster, Ohio and named for the Hocking River.
This stunning set consists of one 8 ½” salad plate and two 5 ¾” sherbet plates or saucers, all three in the “Miss America”, or diamond pattern.
This popular pattern was introduced in 1935 and continued to be distributed through 1938.
All three pieces are in very good condition and still retain their black/silver foil labels.
These beautiful and radiant pieces of Depression glass would add elegance to any table setting, as well as, being highly collectible treasures from the past.
